This week’s mail brought the most recent addition of ARCW’s Lifelines newsletter.

A quick read of the newsletter and you learn that:

  • ARCW Physician Christine Hogen presented research on early HIV treatment at the recent Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections
  • ARCW enrolled 251 new medical patients in 2009, for a total of 11,884 clinic visits
  • ARCW’s network of food pantries distributed a record 400 tons of food in 2009; 20 percent of which was delivered to home-bound clients
  • Construction of the ARCW Medical Center in Green Bay is underway.
  • ARCW Medical Director John Fangman received the Milwaukee BizTimes “Health Care Hero”award.
  • Dr. Nicole Martin named ARCW Dental Director
  • ARCW lobbies state Legislature to pass bill to expand HIV testing

Read it for yourself. It’s an impressive look at the important work being done by ARCW and stands in stark contrast to the continuing abysmal track record of AIDS Network to address the care and treatment of the HIV/AIDS community in southern Wisconsin.
