The men (and women) in suits

When I was reading the ARCW Annual Report I  recalled the many comments made by AIDS Network’s former Executive Director, Bob Power, regarding the “Men in Suits”.

On several occasions when I was a member of the AIDS Network Board of Directors Bob made comments at board and executive committee meetings about the “men in suits”; referring to the management staff of ARCW (Doug Nelson and Mike Gifford, in particular).

It was a stretch for Bob Power to understand why professionals would actually dress (and act) professionally.

And here is a snapshot of what the “Suits” have created—-the best ASO in the country.  As for Bob, he’s working his Executive Director magic at another non-profit, yet his legacy of hatred for ARCW remains until this day at AIDS Network. Yes, he left his mark.
